The St. Dominic House-Priory / Parish records document the history, administration, pastoral leadership, finances, educational activities, and parish life of the Dominican community at St. Dominic Parish in New Orleans from 1939 to 1979, with some materials dating to 1912 that document the parish's establishment and early development.

The records include foundation materials, general historical records, and newspaper clippings chronicling the parish's growth and public activities. Also included are files documenting the administrations of Dominican pastors D. H. Barthelmy, O.P., Harry A. Hall, O.P., E. M. Cuddy, O.P., Jerry McMullen, O.P., Edward L. Hughes, O.P., and James H. Erwin, O.P.

Additional materials document St. Dominic's School, parish finances, Parish Reviews, parish directories, anniversary celebrations, and photographs of the parish and its community. Together, the records illustrate the religious, educational, administrative, and social life of St. Dominic Parish during its administration by the Dominican friars.
